VP of Talent, Learning, and Development
Mark and his teams have enterprise responsibility for recruiting, talent and performance management, employee engagement, OD, HR analytics, employee training, and leadership development. He previously led similar teams in the Talent and Organizational Capability function at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics and at JC Penney, where he also completed a generalist rotation with full HR responsibility for a $4 billion business. Mark and his team have constructed a corporate university, created scorecards, designed organizations, and developed hundreds of tests and surveys that have been completed by millions of people.
Mark created and co-led executive development courses with CEOs and performed culture and customer analyses for multi-billion dollar acquisitions and divestitures. He has authored articles in top research journals (including Personnel Psychology) on topics including employee engagement, culture, assessment centers, and training metrics. Mark currently teaches MBA night classes in Analytics and Organizational Research at the University of Texas at Arlington. Mark serves on SIOP's Professional Practice Committee. Since earning his Ph.D. in Industrial Organizational Psychology, his awards have included the MacNaughton Award for Employment Interviewing, two Chairman's Awards from JC Penney for linking HR to business results, Best Paper from Personnel Psychology, and two Research Awards from the Academy of Management.
