Director of Learning & Development
Alvin joined MV in April, 2016 and is responsible for MV’s learning and development strategy. He has direct oversight of all learning programs and processes—including needs assessment, leadership development, high potential academy, and competency-based skills development. Alvin oversees the direction and continuous development and improvement of MV’s GM Essentials, the foundation for field management growth; Platinum Connection Customer Service program, MV’s comprehensive customer service approach with clients, end customers, and fellow employees; and MVU-Learning Center, our online learning portal.
Prior to joining MV, Alvin has had several roles Talent and Learning roles with organizations like FedEx, Hewlett Packard and American Airlines. As an experienced (and licensed) mediator Alvin has worked with lawyers and the private sector to create a settlement environment where both parties can achieve satisfaction and set their differences aside. In his spare time, Alvin assists the Texas Court System by providing Anger Management courses.
